Chesapeake Occupational Health Solutions has specialized in the installation, relocation, and service of Hearing Booths and Acoustic Test Chambers since 1989. From single man Occupational Hearing Booths to huge Broadcast Studios for radio stations,  we construct booths of all shapes and sizes, stock or custom designs. We have built some of the largest sound enclosures in the world! We are the distributor for Acoustic Systems, but also service most brands of booths such as IAC and Eckel.

In addition, we sell and service Occupational Health Instruments. Our service technicians can provide your annual instrument and site certification to ensure you meet OSHA requirements. We also repair equipment, either on site or in our service center. We are a distributor for Benson Medical Instruments, Ndd Medical Technologies, Sperian, and CMI. We carry supplies, parts and accessories for common audiometers.

We are excited to announce that we now sell Intoximeters RBT IV and RBT VXL!  Additionally, we offer training on both of these instruments for technicians and instructors.

Online BAT & UDS Courses Now Offered!

Hello Everyone!

 

We are excited to announce that we are now offering online courses for BAT (Breath Alcohol Technician) & UDS (Urinary Drug Screener).

 

In the interest of those that still need certifications, but can't travel as they once were able to, we're offering these as an alternative. These 4 hour courses will provide everything you would need to receive your certification, just as you would in our classroom!

 

As of right now, we are offering a class with up to two students at any one location. Ideally, to participate in this course a student would need a webcam (preferably free standing with ability to swivel), a microphone in order to communicate with our instructor, reliable internet to minimize freezes and crashes during the course and a partner to participate in the MOCs. Additionally for BAT courses a working EBT instrument with printer and a valid dry gas standard with regulator will be needed. UDS participants will only need a pitcher of warm water to simulate urine samples.

 

Applying to one of these courses, as well as additional information, can be found under the Courses tab above. Once you have signed up, a packet will be mailed to you with the necessary paperwork and items needed for the MOCs. The Online Self-Study Module will need to be completed and passed prior to the MOCs.

Tips for Keeping Your Audio Equipment Clean and Sanitized!

 

Hello Everyone!

  

With the lingering threat of COVID-19 still amongst us, we here at COHS wanted to offer a few tips about keeping your Audio Booths and Headsets properly cleaned for all of your patients.

 

NEVER use a liquid cleaner on your headset's ear cushions. Alcohol and various chemicals in cleaning supplies will quickly dry out and deteriorate the rubber ear cushions, requiring a replacement. Instead, use Ear Cushion Covers for each patient, disposing of them after the test. 

 

On the contrary, your Audio Booth can be cleaned and sanitized with any and all cleaning products to ensure your testing environment is safe for each patient.

 

We sell Ear Cushion Covers in quantities of 250, 500 and 1,000. Keep yourselves and your patients safe!
